Happy New Year…What do we think about Bankers…?

I pose the above question as Barack Obama declares war on US banks whilst we all hyperventilate with fury at the news that banking types throughout the UK are still going to be rewarded excessive bonus payments irrespective of the fact the financial implosion that nearly wrecked the World economy was caused by their greed and gross mismanagement of an invisible wealth that actually never existed in the first place…! Combined with the fact that our labours and resultant taxes have been used to bail them out…and the Government hasn't got the courage to stand firm and ban the bonus culture……AaaaRRRGGGhhhh!

Everyone keep calm…take a deep breath…and now exhale…aaaaaahhhh

This, I am afraid, is the bizarre world we now live in and I highlight the banking issue as a direct result of their Rhinoceros skinned ability to be oblivious to the rage that stills burns in the stomach of nearly every person who isn't a *anker…sorry…banker…

Case in point…we are keeping our prices as competitive as is possible whilst everyone juggles their respective financial balls in the air of economic uncertainty…we are trying to help our customers by keeping prices down, negotiating better rates from our suppliers to pass on to our customers …and we will continue to do so…we care about our customers.

Our bank calmly announced to us that we are to start paying significant charges on almost every form of transaction we undertake…having not charged us for any transactions prior to the financial meltdown…no real discussion…here's the bill!

Bewildered…we have asked them to reconsider their request in light of the current recession caused in part, or possibly in whole, by them…and we await their response…watch this space…

Take solace in the knowledge most organisations like us at www.tilesandmosaics.co.uk are still in the real world…we remain committed to our service levels to our customers and value for money remains paramount…

Rest assured we are as sick to death of the snow as you are and we are sick to death of the aloofness that appears endemic within nearly all banking institutions…
