May 2009 - Are things getting better...or not...?

Following on from my poetic rant for the 1^st quarter of 2009 I think it's time to step back and take a more pragmatic look at what actually is going on...

The economy has to recover at some point so we all need to stop worrying about everything and simply get on with it...whatever “it” is...Life I suppose...?

The timescale of this recovery is unknown to all of us so I continue to be baffled by politicians who claim they do know when it's going to end when it's obvious to all us minions that actually no one knows...

Example in point...our Chancellor has predicted growth for the UK economy...every other economic pundit and organisation throughout the World says we'll shrink...Exasperating isn't it?

So what do we?...I refer you back to paragraph 2...we simply get on with it!

Whilst the politicians contemplate the fall out from civil war within the Labour Party and the Tories and Lib Dems continue to score points against Labour and each other the rest of us need to concentrate on what we're doing and simply try to do it better.

Based on that theorem here at www.tilesandmosaics.co.uk we have maintained our policy of buying from Europes best manufacturers to ensure quality remains top and lead times remain quick.

Whilst many of our competitors have started to source from cheaper countries farther afield we have decided not to compromise on quality and lead times for the sake of achieving a temporary price cut.

So...Tell Us What You Want™...and we'll make sure we tell you what we can do to satisfy that request rather than the current rhetoric of Brown and his entourage who keep telling us what they think we want to hear having missed the point that we all know that they are talking B******s!
